No Engineering Required
One of our core principles is that security shouldn't require a PhD to set up. Here's how to get CheqMate AI running in under 3 minutes.
Step 1: Connect Your Calendar
After creating your account, connect your Google Calendar or Outlook calendar. CheqMate AI will automatically detect upcoming interview events.
- Click Settings → Integrations
- Select your calendar provider
- Authorize access (read-only — we never modify your events)
That's it. Your upcoming interviews will appear in the CheqMate AI dashboard.
Step 2: Configure Detection Preferences
Choose what level of monitoring you want:
| Setting | What It Does | |---------|-------------| | Shield Mode | Full fraud detection — AI tools, gaze tracking, environment checks | | Assist Mode | Interviewer coaching — smart follow-ups, real-time tips | | Shield + Assist | Both detection and coaching running simultaneously |
Most teams start with Shield + Assist for maximum coverage.
Step 3: Run Your First Interview
When an interview starts, CheqMate AI activates automatically:
- The interviewer sees a live Trust Score updating in real time
- Flagged events appear as discrete notifications — not disruptive alerts
- After the interview, a full Integrity Report is generated
No downloads for candidates. No changes to your Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet setup. It just works.
Step 4: Review the Integrity Report
After each interview, you'll receive:
- Aggregate Trust Score — overall risk assessment
- Flagged Events Timeline — specific moments with timestamps
- Environment Verification — what tools were detected
- Exportable PDF — for compliance and audit trails
What's Next?
Once you're comfortable with the basics, explore:
- Team Management — invite colleagues and set role-based permissions
- ATS Integration — connect with Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and others
- Custom Alerts — configure which events trigger notifications
- Analytics Dashboard — track fraud trends across your interview pipeline
